CIC Free WiFi

Chelsea Improvement Company has partnered with Google to create New York City's largest contiguous Wi-Fi network, with 29 separate Wi-Fi radios. The network further cements southwest Chelsea's reputation as New York's hub for high-tech and media companies by coming Manhattan's first "hot" neighborhood. We know that the network will be a valued amenity for the neighborhood's residents, companies and visitors. Download a map of the area we're providing with free internet access, which includes several public spaces for extended web surfing when the warm weather returns.

The Wi-Fi was made possible with the support of the Mayor's Office and the Department of Information Technology & Telecommunications (DOITT), as well as Google, who made the project a high priority after becoming a real estate owner. Google's sponsorship paid for the capital cost of the network.

If you are in the neighborhood, look for the network ID CICFreeWiFi.
